Philippa Tomson from Tyne Tees TV jumps with the Red Devils
21st March 2007
Philippa Tomson a presenter on North East Tonight, Tyne Tees TV participated in a Tandem Skydive with the Red Devils on Wednesday 21 March at Peterlee Parachute Centre, Co Durham. Despite five inches of snow which had fallen over night, the sun was shinning, it was a perfect day for parachuting. There was a slight delay as the runway had to be cleared of snow but around lunchtime Philippa got her chance to jump out of the plane at 12,000ft. “It was incredibly cold, I felt my mouth had frozen over completely but it was absolutely fantastic”.
Now you too can skydive to raise funds for your favourite charity with this world famous team as they return to Peterlee on Tuesday 25 September for 3 days. Places are limited and there has been a huge response. So book early to avoid disappointment.
